Sector 1: The Ruins
The upper plate of Sector 1 was a residential are of Midgar that was rocked by the explosion of the reactor. The explosion toppled many of its buildings, and the sector has been sealed off by Shinra. Beneath the plate it is pitch dark in most places, with a lack of electrical light.
